Astronomy as a Field

Astronomy as a Field: A Guide For Aspiring Astrophysicists was created for students participating in our VERGE programming. It serves as a general introduction to the field for students and enthusiasts alike, with content that is useful/informative for anyone interested in astronomy. A virtual copy can be accessed on arXiv or – in a more interactive form – here:

In addition to the online version and the printed copies given to SIRIUS B VERGE participants, hard copies of Astronomy as a Field have been distributed at the University of Chicago, University of Colorado Boulder, University of Massachusetts Amherst, University of Pittsburgh, and Yale University. If you would like to order - at cost - physical copies of Astronomy as a Field, please get in touch (via siriusborganization [at] gmail.com or apolzin [at] uchicago.edu).

Similarly, Astronomy as a Field is currently being translated into languages other than English. If you would like to volunteer to (help) translate, please also reach out.
